1) Solid Ontario Basswood. Selected for its allergy-free characteristics. We cut our planks ¾ of an inch, or 20mm thick. This ensures a solid wall that will truly last a lifetime. The wood is not transported over oceans, guaranteeing that it will never be fumigated with insecticide.

2) Solid Ceramic Heaters. Chosen for their toxin-free characteristics and natural emission of far infrared heat. No colours, no coatings.

3) Medical Grade Stainless Steel. Selected as toxin-free material to mount the ceramic emitters. Chosen because it uses no heavy metal rust proofing material and will not vapourize heavy metals into the room when heated.

4)Tempered glass. Selected because plastic is an unacceptable potential toxin in a sauna and tempering makes glass safe if it accidentally broken.

5) Canadian Beeswax, softened with citric acid. Carefully selected to protect the outside of your sauna because it is a natural toxin-free preservative. The citric acid replaces traditional solvent based softeners so that when our saunas are coated the SaunaRay factory smells like oranges, not solvent!
