Collingwood – Oct. 2006 A study presented a the annual general meeting of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors has shown that chlorinated pesticides, coursing through the veins of virtually all North Americans, can be reduced by as much as 20 percent within only two months of sweating in a new type of sauna. The study, overseen by Dr. Sat Dharam Kaur ND, noted breast cancer lecturer and author of the Complete Natural Medicine Guide to Breast Cancer, measured 8 participants whose blood was tested prior to and after 50 hours of sauna therapy in a ceramic heated sauna built by SaunaRay Inc. The study showed 20% reduction in baseline participants and zero or little reduction in two controls who received detoxifying minerals and herbal supplements but did not take the sauna. “This has tremendous potential for people in our society who are have high levels of pesticides, which are associated with cancer,” said Dr. Kaur.
